Airbus Sets Sights on 900 Deliveries for 2026 After Strong June

Airbus delivered 89 jets in June and 351 aircraft in the first half of 2026, up 15% from the same period last year, the strongest first-half performance since 2019.

Airbus has set an internal goal of exceeding 900 deliveries for the first time this year after handing over 89 jets in June, though it is keeping its official full-year guidance of 870 deliveries unchanged, industry sources said.

June's total suggests Airbus delivered 351 aircraft in the first half of 2026, up 15% from the same period last year, marking its strongest first-half performance since 2019.

That partially reflects a temporary surge as Airbus continues to catch up on delayed deliveries to China and benefits from an easing of disruptions to engine supplies, the sources said.

But Airbus is seen as increasingly confident it can keep up a solid pace in the second half despite ongoing supply snags, including a projected total of roughly 80 deliveries in July. Deliveries typically accelerate sharply in December.

Airbus declined to comment on deliveries ahead of a monthly release on Wednesday.

Bloomberg reported last week that Airbus delivered around 90 jets in June.

Aircraft deliveries are a key factor in determining revenue and cash generation for the wider aerospace and defence group.
