Anna Cathcart Shines in Hit Netflix Rom-Com

As fans await news on a potential fourth season of XO Kitty, young star Anna Cathcart is already expanding her impressive Hollywood portfolio.

Actress Anna Cathcart stars as the lead in Netflix’s hit romantic comedy series XO, Kitty, which celebrated its third season premiere in April.  With a total of 26 episodes in the series, fans are currently hoping for a season 4 renewal, though future plans for the show are reportedly stuck in creative limbo.

The series, which originally began in 2023, serves as a spin-off to the popular To All the Boys film trilogy, which starred Lana Condor and Cathcart.  Both projects are the creative brainchild of Korean American screenwriter Jenny Han.

Born in Vancouver, the 23-year-old actress began her acting career as a child, appearing in several commercials before landing her breakout main role in 2016 for the children’s television series Odd Squad and its spin-off OddTube.  The Chinese Canadian also showcased her talents across 15 episodes of the 2019 web series Zoe Valentine.

In addition to her early projects, Cathcart built an impressive portfolio with prominent Disney roles, most notably playing Dizzy Tremaine in the Disney Channel original movies including 2017’s Descendants 2 and 2019’s Descendants 3, as well as starring in the 2021 Disney movie Spin.  

Cathcart’s blossoming career in both television and film has established her as a prominent young talent in the entertainment industry.  The fame acquired from her filmography has yielded her over 12 million followers between Instagram and TikTok and has secured brand deals with Revolve, Fujifilm, and Aveeno.

As she has been waiting on Netflix’s decision for a fourth season of XO, Kitty, Cathcart has expanded her talents into voice acting.  She will hold a starring role in Paramount’s upcoming animated project The Angry Birds Movie 3, scheduled for release on December 23rd.
