Greta Lee Conquers Horror in Netflix Thriller, The Last House

Versatile star Greta Lee brings her acclaimed talent to the horror genre following standout performances in Past Lives and major studio franchises.

Greta Lee stars in the leading role of the Netflix film The Last House, released on August 7th.  Expanding her filmography into intense horror genre storytelling, her portrayal delivers a standout central performance that commands the audience’s full attention.

This year Lee also held a featured voice role in Toy Story 5 as Lilypad, a frog-themed tablet.  In 2025, she starred in Disney’s sci-fi release Tron: Ares alongside Jared Leto.

Lee’s most accomplished role to date came in her powerful lead performance in 2023’s Past Lives.  Her work in the critically acclaimed drama earned Lee nominations for best actress at both the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, cementing her status as a compelling leading screen talent.

Prior to her recent silver screen success, Lee built a strong and versatile television resume over the years.  Her TV credits include recurring roles on several popular series, such as High Maintenance from 2012 to 2018, Nurse Jackie from 2012 to 2013, and Girls from 2013 to 2014.  These television roles highlighted her sharp comedic instincts, magnetic charm, and broad acting range.

She made her official television acting debut on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2006 and made her Broadway debut the following year, building a strong reputation on stage before expanding into high-profile screen work.

Lee grew up to South Korean immigrant parents in Los Angeles, where she attended the prestigious Harvard-Westlake School.  She formally studied theater at Northwestern University, graduating in 2005.

Looking ahead, the 43-year-old actress will continue her role as Lyla in June 2027 in the animated film Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Following 2023’s Across the Spider-Verse and 2018’s Into the Spider-Verse, the project adds another major studio milestone to her expanding filmography.
